Some sessions just click—the light, the energy, the vision. That was exactly the case with Poppy & Em Collective. Joley—the founder and creative force behind the brand—had a clear vision: editorial, organic, intentional, and oh-so-inviting. And let me tell you, we delivered.
Poppy & Em Collective is a Dallas–Fort Worth-based content creation team made up of three incredibly talented women with next-level taste with an uncanny ability to make everything feel curated without ever feeling overdone. They’re storytellers, visual stylists, and creative directors all rolled into one powerhouse team—and capturing their essence was truly an honor.
To bring their brand to life visually, we kept things clean, natural, and refined. We leaned into soft textures, cozy movement, and that unforced kind of candid that makes you feel like you just stepped into a behind-the-scenes editorial shoot. Every frame was designed to feel like them—intentional, warm, grounded, and effortlessly cool.
To elevate the space and give the session even more depth, we brought in florals by The House of Honor, a DFW florist whose work is truly a form of art. Think earthy greens, soft movement, and powerful pops of allium and achillea—perfectly complementing Poppy & Em’s brand aesthetic. The arrangements added just the right amount of texture and mood, tying the whole shoot together in the most elegant way.
Each of the women on the Poppy & Em team brought their own energy and creativity to the session. Watching them work together—styling, laughing, tweaking little details—was like seeing a brand come to life in real time. There’s something really beautiful about a team that not only creates intentional content but lives it, too. They’re the real deal.
From the editorial-style portraits to the candid moments that unfolded in between, this shoot was everything I love about branding sessions. Beautiful, yes—but also real, full of heart, and rooted in story.
Joley and team, thank you for trusting me to tell yours.
